Important Information About Transport and Parking When Visiting Hotel Odeon
On this page, you can find out how to get to Hotel Odeon easily—whether by public transport or by car.
We have several reserved parking spaces for hotel guests, but it is important that you read the information below so you know exactly where and how to park at our hotel.
To reach the parking garage most conveniently, we recommend setting your GPS to Hans Mules Gade 8, 5000 Odense C.
Public Transport
In addition to the parking garage, you can also take advantage of public transport. The hotel is located right next to a light rail stop, and Odense Train Station is just a five-minute walk away.
The light rail is particularly convenient, as you can use the Park & Ride service. Read more about Park & Ride here.
Transport Options
Light Rail
The light rail stops right in front of Hotel Odeon and connects various parts of Odense. It has terminals at Tarup Center and Hjallese Station and runs approximately every 15 minutes.
Tickets can be purchased at the hotel reception or via the RejseBillet app.
Odense Train Station
Odense Train Station is just a five-minute walk from the hotel. From here, you can find both bus and train connections to the rest of Denmark.
Tickets can be purchased at the train station or via the DSB app.
City Bus
Odense also offers a free city bus that runs in a figure-eight route through the city center. The easily recognizable pink buses stop at each station approximately every 20 minutes.
BEFORE YOU PARK
- You must use the underground car park under the hotel – you cannot park directly in front of the hotel.
- The reserved parking spaces are located in the underground car park on level -2 in area P-05.
- Our reserved parking spaces are marked with “Hotel Odeon” on the floor and a red light on the ceiling.
- You must follow the signs marked “Hotel Odeon” – not just “ODEON”, which is a cultural centre in the area.
ONCE YOU HAVE PARKED
- Our parking spaces are marked with a large white ‘Hotel Odeon’ logo on a black background. There are red lights above all parking spaces marking them as reserved to us.
- If you park on a Hotel Odeon space, you must register your parking on a tablet in the hotel’s reception – not via Q-Park’s registration system in the basement.
- After parking, you have 15 min. to register the license plate at the reception for a valid parking permit, so remember to set your parking disc.
- Parking on a “Hotel Odeon”-space is one’s own responsibility. The price is 150DKK per 24 hours.
Additional information
The underground car park under the hotel has four entrances – we recommend that you use the east entrance as this is closest to our car parks:
- Odense P East from Hans Mules Gade
- Odense P North from Thomas B. Thriges Gade
- Odense P West from Nørregade
- Odense P South from Albanigade

Hotel Odeon is a city hotel in the centre of Odense with no parking in front of the hotel.
There is a parking garage under the hotel.
The underground car park under Hotel Odeon is called “Q-Park Odense City”.
For the easiest way to find the parking garage, we recommend that you enter the address “Hans Mules Gade 8, 5000 Odense C” into your GPS.
Once you have parked your car on a black Hotel Odeon space, you have 15 minutes to register the car’s license plate in the hotel’s reception for a valid parking permit.
At the reception you will find a tablet where you must enter your license plate, duration, and an e-mail.
Make sure that you receive the confirmation e-mail from Q-Park with your parking permit.
If you are parking in a grey parking space, registration is done via a machine in the underground car park.
The price is DKK 20 per hour and a maximum of DKK 200 per day.
No, this is not possible. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.
When you park on one of “Hotel Odeon” marked parking spaces and register your car on the tablet in the reception, the price is 150 DKK per day.
The parking is settled with the hotel at check-out.
IIf you have parked on a grey public space in the parking garage, Q-Park’s prices apply, and registration and payment takes place through Q-Park’s own registration systems.
Coming from the EAST entrance, it’s easy to get confused by the many signs pointing towards ODEON. ODEON is a music, theatre and conference centre that is not connected to the hotel.
Therefore, it is important that you follow the signs with ‘Hotel Odeon’ rather than ‘ODEON’ to find your way to Hotel Odeon’s car parks.
Do not worry. We have extra spaces directly under the hotel on level -1 in area P09.
Here you will find a lift that brings you directly up to the reception. To use the lift, press the button on the left and wait for our staff to send the lift down to you.
If there are no available spaces belonging to Hotel Odeon at P09, you can always park on a public space and register your parking in the parking garage.
There are 3 electric charging points with 6 chargers at P09 on level -1. If you park here, remember to set your parking disc and register your parking according to the instructions.
Please note that it is not a requirement that you either have an electric car or that you have connected your electric car to a charger in order to be allowed to park in a parking space with an electric charging point with a “Hotel Odeon” sign.
It is not possible to pre-book a parking space with an electric charging point.
There are other electric chargers located at P18 in the basement. If you park here, you must register your parking in Q-Park’s own registration system.
Disabled parking is available in the underground parking garage below the hotel at P-10 and P-12 on level -1 in conjunction with the other parking spaces.
Registration for disabled parking in public parking spaces is done through Q-Park.
If you wish to park as close as possible to the hotel, we recommend our spaces on level -1 at P09. Here you can take a lift directly to the hotel reception.
If you park here, please remember to set the parking disc and register your car at the hotel reception – and not through Q-Park’s registration system.
The parking garage is open 24 hours a day.
The gate between level -1 and level -2 is down between 20:00-06:00. If you arrive between 20:00 and 06:00 and have not yet registered your license plate in the reception, please use the red box hanging on the wall by the gate to call the hotel staff, who will then open the gate.
If you have already registered your number plate, the gate will open automatically.
If you have received a parking fee on a “Hotel Odeon” marked parking space, we refer you to Q-Park’s complaint department: https://www.q-park.dk/da/kontakt-os/
Hotel Odeon waives all liability for any parking tickets and/or damages.
